EV E-Type

The Jaguar E-Type, known for its gorgeous looks and fantastic driving characteristics (we will gloss over the brake situation). But did it need an EV conversion? The chaps over at the classic Jaguar department thought they would give it a go.

The department set parameters before modifying as they did not want to go too much outside the original specification. The conversion couldn’t impact the usable space for the driver or passenger area, and the performance had to be the same as the original (around 6.7 to 60). The EV drivetrain is also reversible as it just slots into place meaning you can throw an IC engine back in if you missed the roar.

But at a price tag of £300k, is it worth it?
