The 207MPH Convertible
The Bentley Continental has and always will be, a fantastic car. But when we thought it couldn't get any better, along came a Tweed* roof.
Using the same W12 powertrain as the hardtop, the cabriolet will do 0-62 in 3.8 seconds and will have a top speed of 207mph. Outstanding.
With prices ranging from "sell your organ" to "sell the house", the new Continental GT comes with a mountain of features ranging from the 2,000 watts Naim stereo to the tri-rotation centre screen.
Speaking of sound, the cabriolet will be three decibels quieter than the previous hardtop.
If you've ever driven a convertible, especially in the winter, you will understand the feeling of having warm legs but a freezing upper body. This isn't the case for the GT as most of the places Bentley could think of have been heated; heated armrests, seats, steering wheel and a neck warmer.
*Bentley sees this as a "contemporary interpretation of traditional British Tweed". To be fair to Bentley, Tweed might not be the best material for a car roof.
